Oliver Pineda is a 10-time World Salsa Champion from Australia. With titles spanning two decades, including victories at the World Salsa Open, ESPN World Salsa Championships, and World Salsa Summit, Oliver has established himself as one of the most accomplished dancers in the competitive salsa world.
Born in Australia to Chilean parents, Oliver began dancing salsa at age 10 and has since devoted over 30 years to perfecting his craft. He is the founder of Latin Motion Dance Academy and The Oliver Pineda Academy, where he trains elite dancers using his renowned teaching methods. A pioneer in Australia’s salsa scene, Oliver introduced styles like Rueda, Kizomba, and Mambo On2 to the Sydney dance community.
Beyond dance, Oliver’s musical roots, inherited from his percussionist father, have enriched his artistry. He has performed with top salsa bands worldwide and appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance” as a choreographer.
