Salsa In Palo Alto This Friday

There’s going to be a big salsa party this Friday at Illusions Super Club in Palo Alto. There will be salsa lessons, a live band (Mazacote!), and dance performances by Salsa Mania and Montuno Dance Company. Not sure if this will be a recurring event, but this Friday should be huge!

So You Think You Can Dance This Week

PB&G Productions’ annual “So You Think You Can Dance” Jack & Jill competition starts this week at Hot Salsa Friday! The competition is open to everyone, and competitors will freestyle to salsa, cha cha, merengue, and bachata. This is the first of four qualifying rounds, with finals to be held on April 30th.

US Salsa Open Music Announced

Ricardo Sanchez, the organizer of the upcoming US Salsa Open Championships, has announced the authorized music for the US Open Competition. These are the songs that competitors will be allowed to use during the competition. The full list of songs is on the US Salsa Open site.
