The level of dancing is actually very low. The place is mostly for an older, ballroom-type crowd. People are not exactly friendly. If you agree to dance with some beginner guys, they might misunderstand your gracious gesture as their chance to harass you!

Great live bands, large dance floor. Lots of dancers (at least 200) from beginners to advanced.
It’s a fun evening. And it is great to have an event this large with live music and a big crowd in the East Bay. Also, $15 is very cheap!

This is a fun place to dance. The teacher Tomaj has solid education, training and experience. Most the dancers are fun to dance with. The live band quality is great.
If you are living at south bay, it is little far. But you have more partners to choose in a much bigger party, especially for leaders.

I went on December 20th. Both Djs, the one in the salsa room and in the bachata room selected good music. The main room is huge. The band sounded great – weird because the sam band sounded bad at another social. The place was hot – I mean, I recommend that they get one or two of those industrial fans to improve ventilation. It had complimentary water and snacks. There were a few spider men – you know the creepy crawlers who have 8 hands all over their partners, but overall, people seemed ok. Most importantly, music was god and the floor was great.
I had my birthday party here this month and had a blast with 36 guests! The live band & dance instructors were great. Snacks & red wine are included. You have 3 different dance rooms to enjoy salsa, bachata, & kizomba. Plenty of free parking, Photographer on site for hire was great. Plenty of dancers & lots of fun!
Very diverse group of dancers ranging from beginners to advanced. Everybody seems very nice and I was even able to dance a couple of Bachata’s which is usually rare! (Most girls tend to have the wrong idea if you ask them to dance a Bachata!) They had live music which almost always means too long of a set. (I don’t think anyone wants to dance a 12 to 15 mins song). Aside from that, the dance floor is really spacious and smooth so I never had to worry about bumping into other couples which is nice! :)
Overall, I had a very nice time although I wished more advanced dancers were present.
This monthly event by Tomaj has changed venues and is not at Allegro any more
Tomaj puts on a great party with food and drinks I hope he finds a location soon
