About this event
Salsa Borealis hosts Oopperasalsa every Sunday from May 18 to September 14, 2025, at the Helsinki Opera House amphitheater. These open-air socials are free and welcome dancers of all levels.
Each event runs from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with occasional pre-party lessons or rueda from 5:30 PM. Music is curated by different DJs weekly, playing timba, Cuban salsa, mambo, bachata, and more. Some sessions feature guest instructors and special themes, including mambo nights, rueda classes, and merengue and salsa caleña for beginners.
June 29 takes place at Karhupuisto; June 8 in Ooppera’s front yard.
Organized by members and supported by voluntary fees, this series is one of Helsinki’s most beloved summer salsa traditions. Free admission. Salsa Borealis ry supports the community.
