Salsa by the Bay is a free outdoor Latin dance series held monthly at Bayview Park in Perth Amboy. Taking place on select Friday evenings in summer, each event begins with a group dance lesson from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by live Latin music and open social dancing until 8:30 PM.
The 2025 schedule includes:
- June 27: Salsa lesson with Angelo Anderson and live music by Victor Baro y su Orquesta
- July 25: Bachata & Merengue Night with Nancy Ynchaustegui and J Moreno La Banda Soberana
- August 22: Salsa lesson by South Street Salsa and live music from Swing Combo, plus a special presentation of the Manny Pacheco Award
This family-friendly series is open to all ages and skill levels. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy the waterfront vibe, great music, and delicious offerings from the Chef Deluxe Me food truck. No experience is necessary—just bring your love of dance and good energy!
