The 14th Annual Old Skool Room is a matinee dance celebration honoring the marriage of live music and classic salsa dancing in New York City. Created by the New York International Salsa Congress, this event preserves the cultural richness of old‑skool social dancing rooted in Puerto Rican, Cuban, and NYC traditions.
Held in the elegant Astor Ballroom at the New York Marriott Marquis, the matinee features live performance by Cubano Rican and legendary sets by DJ Andy “El Más Bailable.” Whether you’re old‑skool or new‑skool, this Sunday afternoon social welcomes dancers of all levels to celebrate tradition, community, and pure joy in a ballroom setting.
