Golden City Dance Collective hosts a welcoming program of progressive salsa and bachata classes every Monday night in San Francisco.
At 7:00 PM dancers choose from three Bachata levels—ideal for brand-new beginners through confident social dancers—followed at 8:00 PM by three matching levels of Salsa.
Lessons are delivered by the studio’s worker-owned teaching team, whose members draw on backgrounds in competitive ballroom, hip-hop and Latin social dance to create classes that are both technically solid and genuinely fun.
Held on sprung, professional-grade dance floors across GCDC’s spacious ballrooms, the sessions emphasize musicality, clear partner connection and social-floor etiquette; no partner or previous experience is required.
Students may drop in or follow the curriculum week-to-week, and many stick around afterwards to practice and get tips on the best Bay Area socials—making GCDC a lively Monday hub for anyone looking to grow in salsa and bachata while meeting a friendly dance community.
