Salsa & Bachata Musicality Dance Festival brings three days of workshops, live music, and social dancing to MAK Studios in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, from February 12-14, 2027.

The festival focuses on musicality, movement, and interpretation, with workshops taking place across two rooms. Live music accompanies classes, giving dancers an opportunity to explore the relationship between music and movement.

The teaching lineup includes Alex Toledo, Anichi Pérez, Victor Ortega, Anne Böhm, Pablo Pérez, Luisa Epp, Ranses, Anita Kosravi, and Linda.

Workshops cover a variety of salsa and bachata topics, including musicality in partnerwork, spinning, rumba, cha-cha-cha, Cuban fusion, and mambo. Bachata sessions explore musicality, lady styling, and footwork.

Friday’s program begins with workshops at 6:00 PM, followed by a welcome party from 8:30 PM until 1:00 AM. Saturday and Sunday workshops begin at 11:00 AM, with evening social dancing also part of the festival.

Full Passes cost €190. Friday admission is €70, while Saturday and Sunday day passes cost €120 each. Party-only tickets cost €15 for Friday or €25 for Saturday.

A separate percussion bootcamp with Pablo Pérez takes place at AYA Latin Dance Academy. The bootcamp costs €99 for Full Pass holders or €119 without a festival pass.

The main festival takes place at MAK Studios, approximately a 15-minute walk from Freiburg’s main railway station.
