Dance Quarter Salsa Series

Dance Quarter hosts two consecutive salsa lessons every Thursday night in New Orleans.

Intro to Salsa (7:30 PM – 8:30 PM): Build solid fundamentals with basic footwork, partnerwork, timing and social-floor etiquette—perfect for absolute beginners and dancers switching styles. No partner or prior experience required.

Components of Salsa (8:30 PM – 9:30 PM): A beginner-to-intermediate class that expands your move set and shows how to integrate patterns “On1” and “On2.” Previous salsa experience is recommended, but not strictly required if you’re a quick study.

Both classes emphasize smooth technique, clear lead-and-follow connection, and plenty of practice time in Dance Quarter’s spacious studio. Come for either lesson—or stay for the full two-hour progression to accelerate your social-dance confidence.
