TUMBAO Latin Fridays is a long-running salsa and bachata night in the Phoenix metro area, produced by AZSalsa.net since 2007. Often recognized as a local favorite (including a Best of Phoenix Latin Night win), it’s known for its friendly vibe, strong music programming, and a full night of dancing in Mesa.

Each Friday begins with three simultaneous nightclub-style classes included with the cover charge. Lessons rotate weekly between top local instructors and occasional visiting teachers, with options for both beginners and intermediate/advanced dancers. No partner is needed, so it’s easy to show up solo, meet people, and jump right in.

After classes, the night shifts into a high-energy social with resident DJ Ben plus guest DJs. Expect a mix of classic and modern salsa dura and salsa romántica, Dominican and contemporary bachata, and the occasional merengue for extra flavor. The venue’s polished epoxy dance floor and strong air conditioning help keep the experience comfortable—even during Arizona summers.

The location is central with free parking, and the bar and kitchen keep things moving with drink specials and a salsa-night menu available until midnight (with the menu special offered all night).
