3-hour Salsa Workshop for Beginners & Improvers

Funky Mambo invites dancers of all levels to an intensive Salsa On2 (Mambo) workshop designed to fast-track your skills in just three hours. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been learning for a few months, this workshop will help you develop strong foundations and boost your social dance confidence.

The session takes place on Saturday, 6 September 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Steps Studios UK, 90 Hanbury Street, London E1 5JL. The venue is just a short walk from Aldgate East, Whitechapel, and Shoreditch High Street stations, and about 15 minutes from Liverpool Street Station.

Over the course of the evening, participants will work on timing, footwork, and partner work with expert instructors who provide tailored coaching to suit each level. The workshop offers a friendly and energising environment where dancers can make quick progress while enjoying the music and the company of others. By the end of the session, you will not just know the steps—you’ll feel confident bringing them to the dance floor.

Cost is £30 in advance or £38 on the door. Tickets are available online via Ticketlab and Eventbrite, or in cash at the door and at Funky Mambo on Tuesdays.

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes with non-grippy soles (flat shoes recommended; no flipflops or pin heels). Bring a water bottle and plenty of energy. Salsa On2, also known as New York–style salsa or mambo, is loved for its musicality, footwork, and smooth partner work—making it a rewarding style for dancers to learn and master.
