Rueda de Casino Weekend 2026

Rueda de Casino Víkend na Šachtičkách vol. 2 is a Cuban salsa weekend for rueda dancers. The 2026 edition runs Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. It takes place at Hotel Šachtička in Banská Bystrica.

Registration opens Friday at 5:30 PM. Friday workshops run from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and 7:10 PM to 8:10 PM. Saturday workshops run from 10:00 AM to 6:20 PM.

The weekend includes seven Rueda de Casino workshops for mild-intermediate to intermediate-plus dancers, led by Leon Bembo, Jaro Hluch, and Iko. Topics include Rueda with Leon, Rueda Mixta with Jaro, Rueda Llanta, Rueda Torno, and additional rueda sessions. Workshops are not for beginners.

Friday and Saturday both include salsa parties from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with music by DJ Iko. The full package is €240 per person with two nights of accommodation, or €230 for the first 20 tickets while available.

Other pass prices are €20 for the Friday workshop pass, €40 for the Saturday workshop pass, €10 for one workshop, €10 for one party, and €15 for the full party pass. The full package includes double-room accommodation, meals from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast, drinking water during workshops, free parking in the guarded hotel area, and late checkout until noon.

Full-package attendees also get pool access from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, wellness access Friday and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, fitness access, and selected activity discounts.
