Weekly Latin Dance Classes at La Ñapa

La Ñapa Dance Academy in Groningen offers a comprehensive weekly program of Latin dance classes, focusing on Bachata and Salsa (LA Style). Classes cater to all levels, from absolute beginner to intermediate-advanced, with each course spanning 10 weeks and including one 60-minute class per week.

The academy emphasizes lead/follow technique, body movement, musicality, and connection, aiming to build dancers’ confidence on the social dance floor. Students learn shines, partnerwork, and the cultural background of each dance style.

Classes are conducted in an inclusive, gender-neutral environment, allowing students to choose to lead or follow regardless of role, and encouraging them to learn both.

The school operates in three terms per year (Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Sep–Nov). Course fees are €110 per 10-week block, with a single trial lesson available for €10. Workshops (€12.50 for 1 hr) and bootcamps (€25 for 2 hrs) in various Latin styles are also offered.

La Ñapa hosts regular socials, including a free Latin Social every third Thursday at PJ’s in Groningen from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, along with other studio socials and an annual September event: La Tradición Bachata Festival.
