Salsoteca Maestra Vida is a legendary salsa club in Santiago, known for decades as a cornerstone of Afro-Caribbean music, dance, and culture in Chile.

The venue operates as a salsa social space rather than a dance school, offering nightly social dancing with a strong focus on salsa, timba, son, and related rhythms.

From Tuesday to Thursday, the club features live music, while DJs take over on other nights, creating a vibrant dance floor atmosphere that lasts into the early morning.

Music is curated by resident DJs and live bands, with styles including salsa dura, timba, son, rumba, and other Afro-Latin sounds.

The club opens at 10:30 PM from Tuesday through Sunday, closing at 3:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and at 4:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, and holiday eves, and entry is managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Maestra Vida has operated continuously since 1988 and remains one of the most iconic salsa social venues in Santiago.
