Merengue Dance Off and Latin Night at IRYS is a weekly Latin dance event in Port of Spain, Trinidad, combining workshops, social dancing, and a lively merengue dance-off.
Each Friday night begins at 8:30 PM with a merengue workshop led by Keegan Denny, focusing on technique, confidence, and musicality.
The night transitions into an open Latin party featuring merengue, salsa, bachata, reggaeton, and more, with DJs Mel T and Jefe playing until late.
The merengue dance-off starts around 10:30 PM, allowing dancers to showcase their skills, with prizes awarded.
Guests can choose between a workshop plus party option or a party-only entry. No partner is required.
