Absolute Beginner: Intro To Salsa is a welcoming starter class at Hiland Dance Studio for anyone ready to step onto the salsa dance floor with confidence.

From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the class focuses on building a strong foundation, starting with the basic steps and moving into open shines (footwork), plus essential lead and follow technique. Students will also explore foundational spins and turns, rhythm and timing, and simple turn patterns designed for real social dancing.

No experience is needed, and no partner is required—students are encouraged to come as they are and learn in a supportive group setting. The class is offered as a drop-in, with a $15 rate for the session.

Hiland Dance Studio’s mission is to get dancers onto the social floor quickly while deepening their understanding of salsa, making this a great fit for true beginners who want clear guidance and practical skills right away.
