About this event

Alma Rumbera presents a Sunday Social Dance combining salsa instruction, live music and community dancing in Oaxaca de Juárez on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

The afternoon begins at 5:30 PM with a salsa master class taught by Erika Bautista.

Social dancing follows from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with live music by La Rebelión Orquesta. The band’s repertoire includes salsa, cumbia and other Latin rhythms.

The suggested contribution is MXN 70 for the class and social, or MXN 50 for social dancing only.

The event takes place in the central courtyard of the Oaxaca de Juárez municipal offices, with access through Plaza de la Danza. No partner is required, and the gathering offers a welcoming space to dance, meet people and connect with the local community.
