Baychata Summer Series in San Francisco

About this event

Baychata Dance Academy runs an eight-week Bachata series at Sunset Movement Arts in San Francisco. Every Wednesday in San Francisco. Classes run from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

On wednesdays: 7-8 PM Rhythm & Expression; 8-9 PM Adapt & Connect; 9-10 PM Jack & Jill Training. Curriculum covers rhythm/timing, partner adaptation and active listening, improvisation, spontaneous musicality, social-dance strategy and competition confidence. The teaching team includes Gioia and Alex Hernandez.

Workshops include eight-week resident-instructor course; each selected course meets weekly. Competition programming includes jack & Jill Training prepares dancers for social dancing and Jack & Jill competition settings. The program focuses on Bachata timing, musicality and technique.

Admission and course prices are rendered registration: $280 one eight-week course; $555 two; $795 three; $1,028 four; $1,278 five; $1,425 six. Drop-in: $35 one class, $68 two, $100 three, plus displayed service fee. L Taraval and L Owl transit stops are near the studio.
