Somoloco’s Bachata Immersion is a 1- to 4-week dance and cultural experience in Medellín, Colombia, built for dancers who want focused training and plenty of real-world practice.

Each week centers on personalized bachata instruction tailored to a guest’s experience level and goals, with the option to focus on sensual, Dominican, and/or modern/fusion. The weekly structure includes 15 hours of private classes, 3 hours of group classes with fellow participants, and 2 nights of social dancing alongside instructors at Medellín bachata socials.

Beyond the dance training, the immersion weaves in Colombian culture through programmed activities such as a Colombian-style welcome dinner, a musicality experience with live percussion and bachata history, and shared meals with teachers. Accommodation options are available, and the program also notes concierge-style support and airport pickup and drop-off for immersion guests.

The next announced Medellín group immersion runs from October 4 through October 11, 2026, and 1-week pricing is listed as $2,350 for solo guests and $3,750 for couples, with additional weeks and other options available.
