RAICES returns for its fifth edition from December 4–8, 2026, bringing five days of dance, culture, training, and social events to Passo del Tonale.
The festival is centered around the roots of Afro-Cuban and Latin American dance, with workshops taking place across multiple rooms and a program designed to balance technical study with social dancing and community. Dance nights are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The class program covers a wide range of styles and topics, including Cuban salsa, rumba traditions such as yambú, guaguancó, and columbia, as well as bachata, son, kizomba, Afro, rueda de casino, cha-cha-cha, reggaeton, timbaton, salsa fusion, Zumba, musicality, body movement, and gesturality.
RAICES takes place at the Grand Hotel Miramonti, giving participants the chance to combine an intensive dance weekend with the atmosphere and activities of an alpine getaway.
The event is organized by SAS ACADEMY in collaboration with Phoenix Studio Dance and other participating groups.
Accommodation packages are available for two, three, or four nights, with prices ranging from €330 to €550 per person depending on the package and meal plan. Half-board and full-board options are available, with a €70 supplement for single-room accommodation.
