DC Casineros Cuban Dance Social Halloween Party

About this event

DC Casineros brings a Halloween-weekend Cuban dance social to Dance Place on Friday, October 30, 2026, featuring guest artist Rachel Ortiz and an evening rooted in Santiago de Cuba flavor.

The night begins at 7:00 PM with a Cuban popular dance and musicality class with Rachel Ortiz, designed to get dancers moving with rhythm, body movement, and expression before the party.

From 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM, the Halloween social keeps the floor going with Cuban popular music including Son Cubano, Timba, and Reparto, with DJ Cokie and DJ.1999 on the music.

Costumes are encouraged, with the reminder to choose something comfortable to dance in.

This is a community-forward night for dancers who love Casino and Rueda de Casino, and for anyone who wants to spend Halloween weekend in a Cuban music and dance atmosphere.

Friday’s class and the Halloween social are ticketed separately from Saturday’s workshops.

The social costs $15 plus a $3.50 booking fee ($18.50 total). This price is for the social; check the booking page for Friday class pricing and inclusion.
