Salsa and Bachata Classes with Baila and Connect

About this event

Baila and Connect offers weekly salsa and bachata classes at The Manhattan Rooftop in Kansas City, with options for beginners and dancers looking to develop their skills.

Bachata classes take place on Wednesdays, while salsa classes are held on Thursdays. Both evenings begin with a beginner-friendly class at 6:30 PM, followed by a second class at 7:45 PM.

Beginner classes focus on rhythm, basic footwork, partner connection, and social dancing fundamentals. Wednesday’s Sensual Bachata class explores turns, tricks, and flow for dancers who already know the basics, with an emphasis on technique, balance, body movement, connection, and musicality.

Thursday’s Level 2 Salsa class builds on the fundamentals with turns, tricks, and flow, helping dancers continue developing their partnerwork skills.

No partner is required, and partners rotate during class.

Admission is $12 per class.

Street parking is available on 8th Street in front of the building and on nearby Holmes Street. Guests should check posted parking signs.

To enter, look for the silver The Manhattan lettering, dial 1, and press the green button to contact the front desk or security for directions to the rooftop.
