Intermediate Salsa On1 and Rueda at Whyte Ridge Community Centre

About this event

Whyte Ridge Community Centre hosts an eight-week Intermediate Salsa On1 and Cuban Rueda de Casino course in Winnipeg, running from October 13 through December 1, 2026.

Classes take place every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with instructors Michel and Lucie guiding dancers through intermediate Salsa On1 partnerwork and combinations. Lessons focus on leading and following, musicality, body movement, and styling.

The course also incorporates Cuban Rueda de Casino, introducing called figures, partner changes, and coordinated group patterns danced in a circle.

Participants should have completed a beginner salsa course or have equivalent Salsa On1 experience, including confidence with basic timing, steps, and fundamental turns.

No partner is required, and partners rotate during class.

The full eight-week course costs C$120.

Classes take place at Whyte Ridge Community Centre in Winnipeg. Parking is available in the south lot on the Fleetwood side of the centre and in the northwest lot.
