The Contemporary Art Center of Peoria hosts “Salsa at CAC” every third Friday evening in the Preston Jackson Gallery.
The night begins with an introductory dance lesson from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM taught by Eduardo & Beverly Caballero.
Afterward, attendees enjoy open social dancing from 9:30 PM until midnight to the music of DJ Eduardo Caballero. This inclusive event welcomes dancers of all levels—no partner is required. A vibrant mix of Latin rhythms is featured, including salsa, cha cha, bachata, merengue, tango, cumbia, reggaeton and Latin styled R&B and pop.
Attendees can bring their own food or order takeout from the Rhythm Kitchen; refreshments like pop, water and ice are available on site.
Admission is $8 for non members and $5 for CAC members, payable at the door.
