Jimmy Anton hosts a classic salsa social multiple times each month in Manhattan. Held at Stepping Out Studios, this gathering brings dancers of all levels together for a love-filled night of pure salsa on an excellent sound system. The doors open early in the evening, creating a welcoming atmosphere where seasoned dancers and newcomers mingle, rotate partners, and enjoy smooth cha-cha and mambo rhythms alongside salsa.
These socials typically occur on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month, usually running from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Jimmy’s deep experience and friendly teaching style shine through as he occasionally shares turn patterns or shines before the full social begins. At $14 per night, it’s an affordable way to enjoy a professional, well-organized salsa environment in Midtown. Participants also appreciate the vibrant community feel that often extends into post-social dinners or gatherings.
