The Hanmer Salsa Winter Festival is the 30th annual Latin dance winter weekend getaway held in the scenic alpine village of Hanmer Springs.
Dancers from across New Zealand and beyond come together for workshops, parties, and community in a cozy winter setting.
The festival features a mix of salsa, bachata, kizomba, merengue, cha cha, and more, with world-class instructors Jaime Jesus & Mary Grace (Sydney/Uruguay), Pablo (Chile/New Zealand), Nicho & Gina (Chile/NZ), and Saione (Auckland).
Workshops include Cuban salsa, bachata (sensual, dominicana, moderna), rueda, party animations, and salsa battle.
Evenings feature vibrant salsa, bachata, and kizomba parties with DJs, dance animations, and open to kids with free party entrance.
Held at Hanmer Memorial Hall, this festival combines hot pools, alpine charm, and Latin rhythms for a memorable winter dance experience.
