Nueva Sol is a daytime salsa social held at Cardiff & Cocktails (Cardiff Lounge) in downtown Campbell, bringing a relaxed “day party” vibe to the South Bay salsa community. The event is now held on the 2nd Sunday of every month, making it an easy monthly staple for dancers who want lessons and social time all in one afternoon.

The afternoon typically starts with a beginner-friendly salsa class from 3:00–4:00 PM (often taught with a strong salsa on2 / mambo flavor by local Bay Area instructors), followed by social dancing from 4:00–8:00 PM. The music is DJ-driven and leans salsa-forward, with rotating guest DJs and a lively crowd that welcomes both newer dancers and regulars. Expect a friendly mix of practice partners, social energy, and plenty of room to dance.

Cover is $15, and there’s a popular $25 bottomless mimosas special for those who want to make it a full brunch-to-dance kind of Sunday. Cardiff is a full bar venue, so dancers can also grab cocktails and hang between songs in a casual lounge setting.
