Akoma International Afro-Latin Dance Festival 2026 is a week-long celebration of African and Latin dance, music, and culture in Johannesburg, held from November 23 to November 29, 2026.

The festival features world-class workshops, live music, DJ sets, performances, and cultural showcases across multiple styles, including Afro-beat, salsa, bachata, kizomba, and traditional African dances. Artists and instructors from South Africa, Ghana, Togo, Kenya, Angola, and more come together to share their heritage through rhythm, movement, and storytelling.

With daytime dance classes and evening parties, Akoma offers a vibrant, immersive experience that reflects the spirit of Ubuntu and pan-African unity. Events take place at the Midrand Conference Center and partner venues across the city.
