iHeartMambo is one of the best salsa dance socials in the Bay Area. Run by the organizers of the San Francisco SBK Congress, iHeartMambo is held monthly in the Verdi Club in SF and usually attracts the best social dancers from across the Bay Area.

iHeartMambo starts with salsa lessons On2 (typically footwork), followed by social dancing until 11:30pm.

The venue is gorgeous and spacious, and there is free street parking nearby, although it can get crowded on busy nights. They often have dance performances at the event as well.

If you love social dancing, especially On2, this is one salsa social you don't want to miss!

Lots of good dancers with some mid to advanced dancers in the mix. The new venue is very nice with a dance floor which is very spacious and smooth, so no powder required. It is one if the best balanced places to dance in the San Francisco area. I hope the y have this event every Sunday!

I went to the first IHeartMambo social, and it was a lot of fun! There was a lot of very good dancers, some intermediates and some beginners which made for a good experience. The venue is a dance studio which means that the dance floor was very good for spinning and performing more complex patterns. The music was mostly Mambo, and the DJ had a good selection of music although I wished they played a few Bachatas here and there. It is a good replacement for Hot Bachata Nights. I hope they come back soon though. Overall, it was a good experience for only $10 in the city.

I’m live out east and found this social on the salsa the bay site and was pleasently surprised. I had a blast! People were super friendly and the level of dance was much higher than I expected. I was here for a short weekend trip and went to club 550 and this social and I found this hands down way more fun. Enthusiastic intermediate crowd with a few advanced dancers that danced with soul and grace minus the salsa ego that sometimes pervades the scene. I was lucky and caught the one year anniversary so I may have had a special experience due to the event but the regular crowd seemed commited and close knit so I think it’s probably par for the course.

I highly recommended this social if you’re looking for solid west coast on2 dancing. Beginners are also accepted well so don’t be shy whatever your level is, people seemed open and accepting. I ❤️ “I heart mambo SF”!

Not sure why they play a cow bell over classic mambo music. Is the music so bad that they need to drown or mask it with an out of sync overwhelming cow bell. If you want a band get an expirenced band. If you are playing class mambo music then do so. Very strange. The people are nice.
