This is just for the dance party (never took the class)
Great for beginner and intermediate dancers trying to get more comfortable at social dancing, most dancers are on 1. You can also get your fix of bachata, mostly towards the end of the night.
It is also a great way to diversify your salsa skills if you want to try out ballroom dance. There is a huge dance floor right by the salsa room playing a mix of chacha, samba, west coast swing, etc. No extra fee to access the ballroom dance floor.

Great Class
Great instructor [Pantea is one of the best]
Great crowd [usually 50/50 mix]
After the beginner class, there is an Intermediate or advanced class – followed by music for free dancing
highly recommended
But be aware – there’s no night-club or alcohol – it’s just a great dance school / lesson to prepare you for the club.
We’ve been dancing at Pantea’s class since it was at Cheryl Burke’s by Shoreline in Mountain View. That venue closed when the property was purchased and reappeared under the original Starlite name at the corner of Lawrence and Moorpark, a short distance from 280. This a smaller place, with only one room, but plenty spacious for this class.
We enjoy Pantea’s style of teaching – its always fun. Lately attendance has been about two dozen or so people, and there is enough room to dance, learn the routines she teaches, and practice without running into other people. This is a great place to either learn salsa dancing or pick up some new patterns and then practice all you’ve learned so far. Bring your cell phone to video the routine so you can play it back later to review the details.
