Tribute to Louie Romero

Come dressed in your favorite Fania Era digs (60’s and 70’s Salsa style) and celebrate local living legend Louie Romero.

Louie Romero has been the drummer for Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz just to name a few, appears on many of the recordings we hear in clubs, is the director of Mazacote, and helped define the Salsa sound as we know it
today.

Despite all of these accomplishments, Louie often walks humbly among us, as if he were a normal person.
This Sunday, we would like to give him a break from his humility and honor him with the praise and appreciation he deserves.

This Sunday we will reserve the VIP stage of the Salsa Lounge for you to:
–Meet Louie
–Thank him
–Take Professional photos with him 10-11
–Get his signature on your records
–Dance all night to a special Salsa Retro set under the musical direction of Javier Cabanillas and ELDJ X.
–PLUS a special hour of music selected by Louie Romero himself!
