US Salsa Open Championships This Weekend!

The 1st annual US Salsa Open Championships is coming up this weekend, and it’s shaping up to be one of the largest salsa events in the Bay Area!\n\nThe fun starts this Thursday at Cafe Cocomo in San Francisco for the Pre-Championship Party and dancing to the music of a live band, and the competition begins on Friday and continues onto Saturday.\n\nIf you’ve ever wanted to compete in salsa, this is your chance. The competition features over 70 different divisions, from novice all the way to professional, so you can find a division to compete in no matter what your level of dance. There are also dozens of categories to compete in, including cha cha, on 1, on 2, solo performance, and production.\n\nThe event wraps up on Sunday with a Colombian style party, performances by the competition finalists, and live music from the famed salsa band, Grupo Niche.
