About this event
Update: Currently this workshop is fully booked, message the organizer for waitlist options.
G-Ya Minifiesta brings Seoul-based salsa artist G-Ya Ji Chung Won to San Francisco for an afternoon of focused workshops and a full weekend dance experience. G-Ya is known for a smooth, technical, and creative mambo/on2 style, with an emphasis on musicality and clean fundamentals that translate directly to social dancing.
On Saturday, March 14, the workshop block runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco. The workshop topics include Fun With Basics, Mambo Fundamentals, and Boogaloo With Disco-designed to sharpen core technique while adding playful styling and rhythm options.
There is also a bundle option for dancers who want the full weekend: workshops plus access to three socials (March 13 Salsa Bar at The Beat, March 14 IE Megasocial at 550, and March 15 Mucha Salsa+ at Verdi).
Music for the weekend features DJs AlvinTheThird (Chicago) and Negro Salsoso (NYC), keeping the energy high across salsa-focused dance floors.
