For anyone curious about salsa but not sure where to start, Step Into Salsa offers a welcoming, low-pressure introduction in South Perth. The free community workshop focuses on basic salsa movement and gives newcomers a chance to try the foundations in a friendly setting.
Bembe Latin Dance adds a short live performance to the evening, bringing a bit of Perth’s Latin dance scene into the workshop format. The session is open to all ages and is especially well suited to people who are completely new to salsa or returning to the basics.
Step Into Salsa takes place June 17, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at South Perth Community Hall. Admission is free, light refreshments and sandwiches are included, and parking is available around the Civic Centre and nearby streets subject to posted signs.
