Salsa in the Square is an eight-week Wednesday outdoor Latin dance series at Sir Winston Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton. Presented by the Edmonton Arts Council and ETOWN SALSA, the series runs from May 6 through June 24, 2026.
Each regular week runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Level 1 lesson at 6:00 PM, a Level 1.5 lesson at 6:30 PM, and social dancing from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The weekly themes include merengue, cumbia, bachata, chacha, salsa, and mambo.
The June 24 finale extends to 9:00 PM with mambo lessons and live music by Rumba Caliente. Admission is free, making it an easy outdoor option for beginners, regular students, and social dancers in Edmonton.
