About this event
Sunday Social Salsa vs Bachata is a weekly salsa and bachata lesson-social held Sunday evenings at Dovercourt House, a Toronto dance and arts venue one block north of Bloor Street.
Doors generally open between 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM. Multi-level salsa begins at 6 PM, with UnitedSalseros instructors teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced dancers. A bachata lesson follows, with its teacher and start time varying by edition. Social dancing usually continues until 11 PM or 11:30 PM.
The social has separate salsa and bachata rooms with rotating DJs. Performances may take place at 8 PM when scheduled.
Admission is CA$15, and some editions offer a $5 discount with a Friday wristband or Friday preregistration. Street parking is available nearby. From Ossington Subway Station, use the Delaware exit, walk one block north to Northumberland Street, one block west to Dovercourt Road, and then turn north. Lesson details, performances, and closing time can vary by edition.
Important: Event times are subject to change. Always double-check with the event organizer before making plans.
