The Tri State Dance Festival is an exciting annual summer event that unites dancers from across the region to celebrate the vibrant New York Salsa, Bachata, and Hustle scenes in a warm, community-focused atmosphere.

Spanning an action-packed weekend, the festival features masterclasses, inspiring performances, high-energy social dances, and nightly themed parties, including the iconic Saturday Night After Party. Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned dancer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn.

At the heart of the festival is the Tri State Dance Championships, a prestigious competition showcasing nearly 70 categories over two days. Dancers of all backgrounds—from amateurs to Pro-Am competitors—compete in styles like salsa, bachata, and hustle. Friday hosts showcase divisions, while Saturday focuses on heat divisions, creating an exhilarating atmosphere of talent and artistry.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can choose from Full Passes, Night Passes, Party Passes, Single Day Passes, or Comp Passes for competition access. Workshops and social dancing run daily from Friday through Sunday, offering countless opportunities to improve skills, connect with fellow dancers, and enjoy top-tier instruction.

Built on the legacy of Lou Lopez’s Connecticut Salsa Festival, the Tri State Dance Festival creates a supportive, inclusive space for both first-time congress-goers and experienced festival veterans. Held just outside Manhattan, the event features a top-level lineup of instructors, performers, and DJs, making it a can’t-miss celebration of dance, culture, and community.
