Limón Carnaval is an annual week-long cultural celebration held in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. It features vibrant parades, music, dancing, artistic performances, street food, float displays, and traditional Afro-Caribbean cultural events in honor of Día de las Culturas (Culture Day) on October 12.
The festival usually spans multiple days in early to mid-October. In 2025, it runs from October 11 through October 21.
Highlights include the parade of comparsas, Tope de Carnaval, concert series, costume competitions, and community events. Admission to the general street parade and most public events is free. Concerts may have separate tickets.
