AfroLatin IndepenDANCE 2026

About this event

AfroLatin IndepenDANCE takes place at Avec Dance Club in Helsinki on Saturday, December 5, 2026. Pre-party classes run from 6:30PM to 7:30PM, followed by social dancing until 1AM, with a possible extension to 1:30AM if enough people remain.

From 7:30PM to 10:30PM, dancers can choose a combined Salsa and Bachata room or a Kizomba and Ghettozouk room. From 10:30PM, Salsa, Bachata and UrbanKiz have separate rooms. The music includes Cuban Salsa and Mambo, plus Sensual, Modern and Dominican Bachata.

Online party tickets cost €12 per person when booked as a leader-and-follower couple, or €14 individually. Class-and-party tickets cost €15 per person with a couple booking, or €17 individually. Each online ticket has an additional €1 fee, and online sales close at 4PM on the day.

At the door, party entry costs €17, or €10 after midnight; class-and-party admission costs €20. Snacks and drinks are included, and guests may also bring their own, with a 24-hour Alepa next door.

Blue, white or a mix of both is an optional dress theme. Indoor non-marking shoes or socks are required, with no outdoor shoes or drinks on the dance floors. Glitter and sequins are not allowed, and heel protectors are requested for high heels.
