MamboYa Sunday Social at The Axe Trap

MamboYá Dance Company hosts a weekly Sunday salsa and bachata social at The Axe Trap in Winter Park. It runs from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and features a rotating guest instructor followed by four hours of social dancing.

The evening begins with a salsa class from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guest instructors change from week to week, giving dancers a chance to learn from different teachers before the social begins.

Social dancing runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with music including Salsa On1, Salsa On2, bachata and cha-cha-cha. Guest DJs also rotate depending on the week.

For the August 23, 2026 edition, Raul Valenzuela teaches the 5:00 PM salsa class and DJ JaySol provides the music for the social. Advance admission is $15, with day-of admission at $20. Military and college student discounts may also be available at the door.

The Axe Trap is located at 2600 Lee Road in Winter Park, with complimentary on-site parking available.
