Des Moines Ballroom presents a welcoming Beginner Salsa & Bachata 8-Week Course, designed for anyone curious about learning two of the world’s most popular Latin partner dances.

Held in the studio’s spacious wood-floor ballroom on High Street, the course teaches essential timing, footwork, basic turns, and partner connection in both salsa and bachata. Led by experienced instructors, each class breaks down material step-by-step, making it easy to follow—even if you’ve never danced before.

Enrollment is per person, and no partner is required. Instructors rotate partners throughout the class, giving students the chance to practice with multiple people and build confidence in a friendly, supportive environment.

The course also includes complimentary admission to the studio’s Friday Practice Party, offering a fun and low-pressure way to reinforce skills learned in class.
