Salsa Lessons on the Plaza is a free outdoor salsa dance series hosted by The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory for the Performing Arts in Worcester.
Coaches Ray Gonzalez and Rebeccah Sonn of Salsa Worcester lead a one-hour guided lesson suitable for beginners—no partner needed—followed by an hour of open social dancing.
The event is open to all ages and experience levels, with beginners especially encouraged and experienced dancers invited to assist.
Held on the Francis R. Carroll Plaza, it’s a vibrant community gathering that blends instruction with casual practice in a scenic public space.
Weather-dependent cancellations are announced by 6 PM the day prior.
Scheduled dates are Friday, August 8; Friday, August 29; Friday, September 12; and Sunday, September 28 of 2025.
