About this event

Somoloco’s Mexico City Salsa Immersion is a one-week salsa dance and cultural immersion designed for dancers who want focused training by day and a lively Mexico City social scene at night.

Each week includes personalized dance instruction tailored to the guest’s experience, skill level, and goals, with participants choosing one style to focus on: Salsa On-1, On-2, Colombian, or Cuban style. The program includes 15 hours of private classes per week, plus 2 group classes with fellow attendees.

To put the training into practice, guests also get 2 nights of social dancing per week alongside dance instructors at Mexico City salsa socials and clubs. Cultural activities are part of the week as well, including a welcome dinner, lunches with teachers, a hot air balloon flight over the Teotihuacán Pyramids, and a boat ride on the canals of Xochimilco.

Accommodation is included with 7 nights of private stay in an award-winning boutique hotel in Roma Sur, described as three blocks from the studio. The package also includes airport pickup and drop-off, private transport for programmed activities, and 24-hour support via WhatsApp.

A one-week package costs US$2,750 for a solo guest or US$4,150 for a couple.

Available group immersion weeks in 2027 are March 14–21 and October 17–24. The February 7–14, February 14–21, and March 21–28 sessions are sold out. Each calendar date marks the arrival date at the start of a one-week stay, not a single-day class. Contact Somoloco to confirm availability and arrangements for longer stays or private immersions.
