I AM I is less a dance social than a full-day salsa music gathering for people interested in the culture, industry, and future of the genre. The program combines a music-industry panel, a multicultural songwriting camp, and a cocktail reception at Amazon Music’s Brooklyn space.
Grammy-winning producer JC Losada, also known as Mr Sonic, hosts the event, with the focus on salsa’s Caribbean roots, New York development, and next creative chapter. It is a strong fit for musicians, producers, writers, and salsa fans who want the story behind the music as much as the dancing around it.
The event takes place June 18, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Amazon Music at 25 Kent in Williamsburg. Registration is free; 25 Kent has an onsite valet garage, EV charging, nearby subway and bus options, Citi Bike docks, and ferry access from North Williamsburg.
