Coney Island Boardwalk Salsa Sundays is a beloved summer outdoor salsa social held on the iconic Coney Island Boardwalk at West 15th Street in Brooklyn, New York. On select Saturdays and Sundays from early July through mid-August, dancers of all levels gather to enjoy free classic salsa tunes spun by The Men Of Salsa and guest DJs led by Joe Gonzalez.

The party kicks off around 2:00 PM and continues until 7:00 PM on the boardwalk’s spacious wood planks, offering a laid-back atmosphere where sneakers, sandals, or bare feet are all welcome. Surrounded by the buzz of beachgoers and the distant roar of the Thunderbolt roller coaster, attendees can take breaks to soak up the sun or grab refreshments from nearby concessions.

The music lineup is dedicated to pure classic salsa, with occasional cha cha selections, ensuring non-stop dancing for enthusiasts. A casual dress code—shorts, T-shirts, swimwear—fits the seaside setting, while experienced dancers may wish to bring partners for guaranteed On 2 sets.

Although occasional cancellations can occur due to weather or administrative changes, the beachfront locale ensures there’s always fun to be had—even a stroll on the sand between dances. Presented by long-time volunteer DJs and hosted by The Men Of Salsa, Coney Island Boardwalk Salsa Sundays remains a cherished New York City summer tradition, celebrating community, rhythm, and seaside vibes.
