Gate City Latin Dance Takeover

Gate City Latin Dance Takeover brings a full Labor Day weekend of training, performances, and social dancing to Downtown Greensboro on September 4–6, 2026.

The weekend opens on Friday, September 4 with Noches Latinas at LeBauer Park, a free outdoor community night with welcome/check-in and Greensboro performances.

Saturday, September 5 starts at the Marriott Greensboro Downtown with a full day of workshops led by visiting instructors, including options like salsa partnerwork (including on2), bachata musicality and partnerwork, cha cha cha, Latin jazz, casino rueda (beginner and advanced), West African, Orisha, and salsa spins.

Saturday night continues with a Latin Dance Social and special performances at Elm & Bain, featuring a “Dress to Impress” theme.

Weekend pass options include a Full Pass ($140) covering the complete experience, a Class Pass ($120) for Saturday workshops only, and a Social ticket ($20) for Saturday night.

With a mix of classes and social time, the weekend is designed for dancers who want to try something new, level up their skills, and connect with the local community and visiting artists.
