Salsa in the Square SF

About this event

Salsa in the Square brings an outdoor Cuban salsa gathering to Union Square in downtown San Francisco. This free, family-friendly event features DJ JuanLove with Cuban salsa, timba, and reparto sounds, plus a lesson and special sets led by Pablo Dinámico. Dancers can enjoy a wooden dance floor in the middle of the square, with a social atmosphere that welcomes all ages and experience levels. The 2026 series has months events from April through October:

• July 3rd
• August 7th
• September 4th
• October 2nd

Schedule: Music and dancing run from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The dance lesson with Pablo Dinámico starts at 5:30 PM, followed by a reparto set led by Pablo at 7:00 PM.

If you’re taking public transit, Union Square is two blocks from the Powell BART station. $6/hour parking is also available under the Square.
