Salsa Thursday in Valle Gran Rey

Salsa Thursday is a weekly event hosted by Harald Holder in Valle Gran Rey on La Gomera, with activities taking place at two different locations.

The event runs every Thursday from October 29, 2026, through May 27, 2027. It begins from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a free outdoor dance class on the beach promenade in La Playa, approximately 50 meters to the left of Bar Restaurant Yaya.

The class covers salsa and “Salsita,” a simplified form of salsa intended to make the dance more approachable for beginners. Experienced dancers are also welcome to join, practice, or simply dance and enjoy the beachside setting.

After a break, the event continues at a second location from 9:00 PM onward with a free salsa party at LA TASCA in the Vueltas neighborhood of Valle Gran Rey.

Both the afternoon class and evening party are free and open to everyone. Salsa Thursday has been held seasonally in Valle Gran Rey for the past three years.
