About this event
IOW Dance Weekend is a residential Salsa and Bachata festival running November 6 to 9, 2026, at Trouville Hotel in Sandown. Starting Friday at 12:00 PM, the weekend combines classes, three party nights, meals, and accommodation at a beachfront hotel opposite Sandown Bay.
Paul and Wendy Marcel lead daytime class blocks on Saturday and Sunday. Friday opens with a meet-and-greet and Weekend Warmer featuring Salsa, Bachata, and Cha Cha.
The carnival-themed Saturday party mixes Salsa, Bachata, and Reggaeton, while Sunday’s farewell party focuses on Salsa old and new. The hotel’s spacious dance floor is part of a ballroom described as the largest of its kind on the island.
The package costs £240 per person and includes half-board accommodation with breakfast and dinner. Bookings are made directly with Trouville Hotel, and a discounted ferry crossing is also available. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounge, and parking.
From Southampton Airport, dancers can take a train, travel on a Red Funnel or Red Jet ferry, and continue by bus via Newport. The Sandown bus stop is about a ten-minute walk from the hotel.
