Capitol Social November Salsa and Bachata Classes

The Capitol Social offers a progressive four-week salsa and bachata program at Kanopy Dance Studio in Madison, running from November 2-24, 2026, with classes for different experience levels.

Classes are led by instructor Luis, with each session lasting one hour. Monday evenings feature Salsa On1 Level 1 at 6:30 PM, followed by Bachata Level 1.5 at 7:30 PM. Classes take place on November 2, 9, 16, and 23.

Tuesday evenings include Salsa On1 Level 1.5 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Mambo On2 Level 2 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Classes take place on November 3, 10, 17, and 24.

The program follows a progressive structure, allowing students to build their skills throughout the four-week cycle. Mambo On2 requires completion of the previous salsa levels and instructor approval. Beginner drop-ins are not accepted after the second week.

Partners rotate during classes, although couples may choose to remain together and opt out of rotation.

For the four-week cycle, one weekly class costs $50 per person or $75 per pair. Two weekly classes cost $85 per person or $120 per pair, while three weekly classes cost $110 per person or $150 per pair. A 10% early registration discount is available through October 28.

Classes take place at Kanopy Dance Studio in Madison, located on the ground level. On-street drop-off and parking are available, with the Overture Parking Ramp directly across the street.
